Judecraft Specialty Foods is pleased to announce that we have released several new /delicious gourmet dip mixes and dessert mixes.

DESSERT MIXES:
Our new  Dessert mixes are Sea Salt Caramel and Peppermint Parfait. Both are made using an 8 oz.. block of softened cream cheese and 8 oz. of whipped topping. Add 1 package of the mix and mix well in a  bowl. Fill a graham cracker pie crust for the ultimate no bake cheesecake.
As an option use cream cheese for a bagel spread or as a cheese ball. Add nuts if desired.
These desserts are also great for fruit dipping, cake icing, cannoli shell filling, parfaits, ect.

GOURMET DIP MIXES:

We have added a new Taco & Seasoning dip that is receiving rave reviews. We also have a new recipe for our Pepper Jack dip mix that is terrific. Pepper Jack dip is now the most requested dip for parties.  Our new Zesty Parmesan dip is fast becoming a top seller.

Gourmet Apple Spice Cake with Judecraft Maple Dessert Mix Frosting

apple cake with maple frostingThis is a great recipe in which Judecraft Specialty foods Maple dessert mix is used as the frosting on Apple Spice Cake.

         APPLE SPICE CAKE:

1/2 cup butter softened

1 cup firmly packed brown sugar

2 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice

1 teaspoon ground allspice

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups peeled and chopped apples(Granny Smith or Gala)

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

      FROSTING

3/4 finely chopped walnut pieces

           DIRECTIONS

Directions for cake-  preheat 350 degrees: beat butter and brown sugar for five minutes in a mixer bowl.

Beat in eggs and vanilla just until blended. Set aside. In a separate bowl mix flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, allspice, salt. Gradually add sugar mixture to flour mixture a little at a time. Beat until well blended. Pour into 9″ pan and bake 35-40 min or until toothpick clean. Cool on wire racks until cool.

Directions for Frosting- prepare Judecraft Maple dessert mix according to package- add 1/2 finely chopped walnuts. Refrigerate

for 2 hours. Reserve 1/4 cup of walnuts to sprinkle over frosted cake.
